My Story

My name is Robin Overmyer.  I have a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming. I was born and raised in Weld County, Colorado.  I started my career in Child Welfare at the age of 24.  I was inspired by the parents and children that I worked with and came to work every day to assist them in finding their inner strengths and skills and building on them. Throughout my career my time and skills changed from helping families become stronger to helping our workforce meet their full potential.  I have been coaching employees for 20 years to become the best version of themselves. I have found that while I love child welfare, I really love helping people find their true purpose within and watching it grow. 

 

I have been married to my beautiful wife for 9 years and together we have 3 wonderful children, now al adults.  We are an active part of the LQBTQ+ community and try to spend our time supporting events and activities that benefit our community.  Not only do I have experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but I also have one child and one nephew that is part of the community.  It has been a true joy to watch them grow into successful and confident adults and knowing that they have the support of myself and my family along the way.  I am too aware that not everyone has that kind of support or that sometimes it people don't know how to support their child or family members that are a part of the LGBTQ community.

When I decided to start my coaching business, I wanted to offer a service to the community that is hard to find, a provider that is not just an Ally to the community but a Member of the community.  I am excited to walk beside you on this journey called Life and help you BE YOU!
